This slider assembly is sourced from the original manufacturer for use in string trimmers. It includes a plastic slider, which has a diameter of 3 inches, and a metal insert. The slider assembly may wear down or break due to usage and aging, leading to difficulties feeding the cutting line, instability in the trimmer head, and reduced trimmer performance. Begin the repair by ensuring that the trimmer is turned off. Remove the trimmer cover/shroud and pull the spool out of the trimmer head. Unthread the faulty slider by hand and insert the new assembly in its place. Place the spool back in the trimmer head and reattach the cover to complete the repair.
