2. Removed the grinder wheel.
3. Back out four screws holding the gear assembly and remove the assembly.
4. Back out one screw and slide the gear case assembly through the cord.
5. Sanded the edges of the new plastic switch because it was too big for the space on the case assembly.
6. Slide the springed switch link back and insert the new plastic switch and ease the switch link forward to encage the switch.
7. Reassemble the parts described above.
8. This was a Milwaukee 4-1/2" grinder and the switch was for this model, but the switch was a little too big to fit between the plastic guides molded into the case assembly. Also the replacement switch does not include the catch that keeps the tool running without having a thumb on the switch.
Nothing physically. But I had to purchase additional as first one broke when I tried to install first time very easily.

2 Removed top head and pulled out about 3 inches.
3 Unscrewed electrical leads that were attached to carbons(dont know if thats what they are called)
4 Had to use a small flat head screwdriver to gently press and push the trigger into place as thats how a second switch button was broken.
5 Put it back together (with no screws left over :-) )
