This genuine OEM shower screen is in your espresso machine, located at the bottom of the group head. It acts as a barrier between the water and the coffee grounds, allowing water to flow through the small holes or perforations in the screen for even saturation of the coffee. Over time, mineral deposits, coffee oils, and residue can accumulate on the screen. If you notice significant buildup that cannot be cleaned or removed, the shower screen needs replacement. Additionally, if you experience issues with water flow, such as poor extraction or water spraying in unexpected directions, the shower screen is not functioning properly. To replace the shower screen, start by emptying the machine and turning it on its back. Remove the screw securing the outer shower screen so you can detach it from the group head. Insert the back end of a flathead screwdriver into the gap between the seal and the inner shower screen and carefully pry it out. Once the seal is removed, you can detach the inner shower screen.
