Replaced the fan sensor (thermostat).
The fan only turns on when the thermostat closes the circuit even if you have turned on the wall switch. My thermostat activates at 120 degrees and automatically turns off when the fireplace cools to 90 degrees. After installation I tested operation with the heat from a hair dryer.
