This is an authentic DeWalt replacement part that has been sourced from the original manufacturer to be used with pneumatic nailers and staplers. This ring is used to seal the space between the top of the cylinder and the head valve assembly. This item is available as an individual replacement part.     Seal leaking air

    Unscrewed the 4 hex screws holding the top on...removed the top ..cleaned everything.. replaced the seal and gasket with the new ones and screwed the hex heads back into place.. I did have the gun disconnected from the air hose

    1. Disassembled the piston assembly.
    2. Lubed the elastomer parts that were for replacement .
    3. Reassembled the nailer.
    4. Bench tested the with air and nails.
