?This is an authentic manufacturer approved replacement cover designed for use with Makita miter saws. It ensures users safety when the saw is in operation. It is made out of clear plastic and it is sold individually. Replacing this part is relatively easy you would only need snap-ring pliers and a hex key/allen wrench to complete the job. • First you would need to take off the blade by removing the blade screw • Then remove the retaining ring that holds the guard on • Remove the retaining ring (note how the ring is installed) and take off the old guard • Install the new guard
