Description:
This item has been OEM sourced to ensure a high-quality standard. The rotor is intended to be used with trimmers, blowers, and chainsaws from Homelite and Ryobi. The rotor is the engine's flywheel and is used as one of the main components in the ignition sequence. The rotor has magnets on its edge that create an electric charge as they pass the ignition module, this ignites the air/fuel mixture in the cylinder which rotates the crankshaft and the drive shaft. This item includes the pawls that make contact with the recoil starter pulley when the starter rope is pulled.

Question: "woodruff Key"

Zink

Anyone sheer off that silly aluminum key on the flywheel? Better yet, anyone ever successfully replaced it with steel?
Question: Retired

are there replacement springs for the pawls in the starter of my homelite backpack blower model UT08111?
thanks
Hello 1359317 After checking out the parts diagram for your model machine; this vendor at least lists only the starter pulley unit itself as an available part. It should include the pawls with the springs. It is Homelite part no. 98770A and is not expensive. If the springs are a fairly conventional design, you may get lucky and find some similar to them at the Hardware store or in a spring assortment package at the Big Box store (like Home Depot).

Hello 1359317,

The part that I can see with the Starter Pawls and Springs is Homelite part number, 300952002. I can't see the Pawls or Springs being offered individually.

I apologize 1350317. I gave you the part number for the string pulley only. My mistake. I see that WJA has shown you the correct part. It also looks like that is the flywheel for the engine.
