This is an OEM part that is made by KitchenAid for all tilt head and some bowl lift stand mixers. The Drip Ring is made from stainless steel for a beautiful accent to any color mixer. The purpose of this part is to collect any food or grease that may have gotten into the planetary. This part is only held on by tension and is simply removed with a tap from a hammer and screwdriver. To install this part gently tap with a hammer till in place. If the Drip Ring tends to slip off, try a couple drops of super glue while installing.
