Genuine Manufacturer Approved replacement part used on Porter Cable Plate Joiner Kit. This part is made out of Plastic and it is Sold Individually. This part uses Two (2) Screws to attach it to the unit, they are Sold Separately.
The repair was easy just two screws. After replacing the hinge part I discovered the other hinge was damaged as well. Plan on ordering the second part.

Had 2 units, belonging to a couple of guys I work with, which had damaged hinges.
So, pretty much anyone that has some even slight ability to observe could do this job.
The one on the left side of the joiner (viewed from where you would be if using the machine) is just remove the 2 screws and the old hinge and screw the new one on. The right hinge is slightly more involved as you need to move the hinge guide uni
... Read moret on the right of the machine so that the upper screw appears where the juncture of the tracks coincide, so that you can access the screws and remove it. Once you have that aligned itÆs just like the other side, take out the 2 screws and hinge and put in the new one. ôBobÆs yer uncleö
These are cheap enough to replace both at the same time, which would eliminate that ôOh Crapö feeling when you have changed the obviously damaged one and find that the other is in rough shape.
Removed two screws and the broken pivot. Placed the new pivot on the machine and fastened the screws. Probably the easiest tool repair I have ever done.
