Workmate 425 Knob

The snap-in knob attaches to the crank arm. Together, they allow you to adjust your Workmate’s vise jaws. The plastic knob may become brittle over time. This can lead to a locking tab breaking off. The knob can be accidentally broken if it is struck by a workpiece.

Let's get started.

REMOVING THE KNOB

1. Remove the knob.

a. Rotate the crank arm until the rear-portion of the knob is accessible from the top of the vise jaws.

b. Use long-nosed pliers to squeeze and disengage the locking tabs from the inside of the crank arm.

c. Remove the knob from the crank arm.

INSTALLING THE KNOB

2. Install the knob.

a. Install the new knob onto the crank arm.

b. Tap the knob with a rubber mallet until the plastic locking tabs engage the inside of the crank arm.
