The battery adapter attaches to either a 12-volt or 20-volt battery. It converts the battery voltage to the proper voltage needed by your heated jacket or hoodie. It also contains two USB outputs for charging additional accessories. The top of the adapter contains a battery-charge indicator. Like any electronic item, after years of use, the battery adapter can wear out and fail.

REMOVING THE BATTERY ADAPTER

1. Remove the battery adapter.

a. Unzip the pocket containing the battery adapter.

b. Remove the battery adapter from the pocket.

c. Disconnect the jacket power feed from the adapter.

d. Remove the battery from the adapter.

 

INSTALLING THE NEW BATTERY ADAPTER

 

2. Install the battery adapter.

a. Install the battery onto the new adapter.

b. Connect the jacket power feed to the new adapter.

c. Secure the adapter (and battery) in the jacket pocket.
