Knobs

The knobs are pushed onto a post on your deep fryer that controls the temperature and timer. The knobs can become damaged in a way that they only spin on the post and don’t engage and move to a different setting, meaning your fryer will not respond to commands. Check the knob to see if it is damaged or just misaligned. Replacing a damaged knob is easy, you can slide the new one onto the existing post, making sure to line up the knob opening with the post.

Power Cords

The power cord on a deep fryer can become worn from use over time, causing a lack of power to the controls or digital display. Most deep fryers have a breakaway cord which connects to the deep fryer magnetically. Replacing the cord is easy as a universal deep fryer cord will simply connect to your deep fryer. Check your manufacturer manual for the specific cord type.

Assemblies

The control assembly, also known as the heating element assembly, houses the controls/circuit board, thermostats, and the heating element in one unit. If one or more of these parts is not working, it could cause the buttons on your deep fryer to become unresponsive. The parts in the control assembly can be tested for continuity using a multimeter, and replaced if they are faulty. Check your manufacturer manual to see what the correct multimeter readings should be for each part.
