Deep Fryer: Doesn't Exhaust Steam
Read our troubleshooting and symptom guide to help figure out why your deep fryer doesn't exhaust steam. Unfortunately, this is a common symptom and could be caused by either the filter or cover. For more specific information pertaining to your model, read the owner's manual supplied by the manufactuer.

Grease
The grease filter on your deep fryer is a charcoal filter located on the lid of the fryer. Over time the filters will clog with grease, preventing steam from escaping. Clean the filter with a brush to eliminate buildup if you notice that steam is not escaping. If the filter is beyond repair and removable from the lid, you can replace it with a new one.

Covers
Sometimes the grease filter is built into the deep fryer lid or cover, and cannot be removed for cleaning or replacing. Try cleaning the filter to allow steam to flow through. If it still doesn’t exhaust the steam, it should be replaced. If the filter is not available as a separate part then the whole lid should be replaced.
