New Life to Old Lantern
I ordered a Pump Repair Kit. The old flange had corroded to the check valve and air stem. I was unable to remove the original check valve as it had welded itself in place. I was able to clean the pump cylinder with wire brushes. Flushed it with Mineral Spirits. I oiled the new pump, put it together, works like new. I think a secret to maintaining a lantern, is loosen the pump and store it in a raised position and keep well lubricated. Shipping was accurate. I returned the Check Valve for credit. Easy transaction.

Not the easiest fix
The part is exactly as shown in the picture but I could not take is apart to match the configuration on my old lamp. It did not need the black piece. I managed to get the gasket off and use it on my old pump. That fixed my problem.

I took old pump out and had to remove metal clip holding plunger together. Had to pry up clip enough to get pluses under it.. once off repair was easy. Just interchange parts from old lantern. Little oil on new rubber seal and had pressure immediately.
1. Removed spring clip holding in pump assembly
2. Removed pump assembly
3. Modified new pump with old parts to fit my lantern
4 Reinstalled
5.Tried using pump, found that not only the plunger of pump was bad but the check valve below pump needed cleaning. This is a very difficult removal and repair.
removed old pump assembly and found that the leather on the end of the pump had dried out, purchased a new assembly with rubber bushing instead of leather, installed in less than 5 mins..DONE
