This is a genuine OEM replacement part used with Coleman gas lanterns. This part is made for newer lanterns with a plastic pump cap, but it does include the parts to convert it to an older-style metal pump cap. This kit includes the parts for one repair. A pair of needle nose pliers and some lubrication oil will be needed for this fix.

My Coleman lantern would not pressurize

I took old pump out and had to remove metal clip holding plunger together. Had to pry up clip enough to get pluses under it.. once off repair was easy. Just interchange parts from old lantern. Little oil on new rubber seal and had pressure immediately.

1. Removed spring clip holding in pump assembly
2. Removed pump assembly
3. Modified new pump with old parts to fit my lantern
4 Reinstalled
5.Tried using pump, found that not only the plunger of pump was bad but the check valve below pump needed cleaning. This is a very difficult removal and repair.

removed old pump assembly and found that the leather on the end of the pump had dried out, purchased a new assembly with rubber bushing instead of leather, installed in less than 5 mins..DONE
