This is an original Craftsman part for use with Trimmers. The recoil starter pulley kit spins the flywheel to start the engine. The most common reason for replacing the pulley is when it is broken or stuck, causing the rope to not rewind and the engine to not start. This assembly includes one recoil spring, one plastic pulley, and one metal washer. The tools that you will need to replace the pulley are a Torx head screwdriver and needle-nose pliers.
