Need help finding your model number?This is a primer for a chainsaw. Primers are also referred to as fuel pumps, primer buttons, purge bulbs, and primer bulbs. There function is to manually pump fuel into the carburetor and simultaneously purge air out of the carburetor. This suction draws enough gas into the carburetor and cylinder to start the engine. The primer is in constant contact with fuel, so it is susceptible to hardening and cracking. If it has cracked it will not be able to feed fuel into the carburetor, which can cause a hard-starting engine. This part is sold individually.
