Make sure it's not plugged into the outlet! Unscrew air gauges, couplings anything on pressure switch ports, up open switch disconnect wire to power cord, and motor and air supply line to tank unthread pressure switch from compressor then just reverse what you just did remember this is air so use pipe thread sealant and don't over tighten anything it will break now I have a unfair advantage on tool maintenance I ran a tool repair facility for several years so now that I'm in construction repairs are easy and less costly for me have fun and if you don't have a great short term memory take pictures no shame in doing that it beats frying a motor cause you didn't remember how the wires went

Take a picture of all of the parts that are connected to the old pressure switch. Then remove them. Open it up and disconnect the wires and make note were they go. Remove the old switch. Install the new switch, connect the wires, then place all of the parts that were on the old one to the new one. Don't forget to use plumbers tape at all the connections.

Part is an exact match. Remove accessories, remove switch, install switch, reinstall accessories. Done! Oh yeah, a little teflon tape on the pipe threads.

Pressure switch relief fitting defective but not available without replacing entire switch unit

Removed cover from defective switch, disconnected power cord and leads to motor from switch. Removed the disconnect for air hose, the 1/8" copper line from tank to pressure switch and additional fittings that needed to be installed on the new switch. Installing the replacement required either sealant or tape on threaded fittings and working in reverse of removal completed the repair. Compressor now functions as new.
