It is a genuine replacement component that is supplied by the original equipment manufacturer for use with Echo backpack blowers. This pre-filter helps to ensure the air that goes into the engine is free of dust and other contaminants, please note the main pleated paper filter is sold separately. Over time it may become clogged restricting the airflow and eventually requiring replacement to maintain peak performance. It is a high-quality foam filter which is sold individually.
