    1. Removed two screw holding pointer and replaced.
    2. Removed one screw holding bevel pointer and replaced.
    3. Placed scale with adhesive backing on saw.
    4. Calibrated pointer and scale with screws holding pointer as fence was resting against saw blade.

    Sprayed DeWalt Contractor table saw with carb cleaner to remove paint over spray. The cleaner fogged the pointer

    Removed the old fogged unreadable pointer. Set blade/fence distance with ruler. Ripped a piece of scrap then measured it with digital caliper and adjusted pointer to the correct mark on the measurement tape on the saw. Repeated several rips verifying the correct pointer setting.
