1) remove Phillips head screws
2) remove/separate drill housing
3) remove damaged switch assembly by snipping wires. Leave adequate amount of wire to resolder to new switch assembly
4) carefully reassemble drill housing. careful not to pinch wires
5)tighten Phillips head screws gradually
