... Read morehe oil.... or is there? A little thinking and the culprit was revealed: The pulse fuel pump. The fuel is pumped by a diaphragm pump which is activated by pressure pulses from the crankcase. There was a tear in the diaphragm which allowed fuel to flow back to the crankcase through the pulse line suction. The longer it ran, the more fuel was pumped into the crankcase. Eventually the crankcase filled up and the spinning crankshaft threw oil over everything. A quick trip to eReplacement Parts and $18 later I had a rebuild kit with all the parts I needed. The pump is plastic and easily disassembled. I replaced the silicone poppet valves and diaphragms.
Removed the pump from the motor, removed the two screws holding the pump together, removed the old parts and installed the new gaskets and valves and put it back together. Worked great with ease of install
