The agitator is the component within top-load washing machines that is responsible for moving your clothes during the washing cycle, and effectively cleaning them. Over time and use, the agitator for your washer can become worn out, and as a result stop rotating or break. If this happens, it is important that you replace your agitator, so your washer can continue to properly wash your clothes. This agitator is sold individually, and will require some minor disassembly of your washing machine to replace.
