1. Removed wet clothes from washer.
2. Dipped water out of the washer tub as low as possible
3. Unplugged washer from electric socket.
4. Turned off supply hot and cold water lines to washer at valves in wall box.
5. Pulled out washer from wall and tipped back to remove two Phillips screws at bottom of front panel ... Read more and removed from panel.
6. Inspected inside washer after panel removed. Pump housing was opaque so could look inside pump and did not see anything plugging pump.
6. Looked under washer and drive belts were intact, as were pulleys. Took belts off drive pulleys.
7. Turned pump pulley by hand and pump turned freely, but shinning flashlight into pump when turning showed impeller not turning, so I knew pump was bad.
8. Disconnected the two hoses from the pump and drained remaining water from washer tub and hoses.
9. Cleaned up water that I could not catch or contain inside washer and on floor with towels and rags, putting wet towels and rags in bucket for cleaning later.
10. Used nut driver and socket to remove threes screws on underside of washer that held pump in place; installed new pump from eReplacementParts. Reconnected hoses, installed new belts on drive pulley and on pump pulley and replaced front panel. Reset washer on floor and close to wall, turned on water and plugged into electrical socket and tested.
11. Washer worked as needed and drained well with new pump from eReplacementParts.
12. Parts/pump from eReplacementParts were shipped promptly and received within a few days so washer was only out of service a few days, .
