Door boot 4986ER0004C forms a seal between the wash tub and the door, preventing leaks. This door boot doesn't have a drain hole at the bottom of the gasket. Some washers made after September 2007 use a different door boot that includes a bottom drain hole. If the door boot on your washer has a drain hole, install replacement door boot 4986ER0004G, which includes the drain hole.
