1.detach retainer from vaccum
2.remove screws from sides and bottom of vacuum motor
3.pull case apart exposing hose connector
4.remove screws on both sides
5.pull off hose connector & remove gasket
6. Insert gasket into replacement connector
7.Insert all screws and vuala.
