This is a genuine Hoover-made vacuum belt. The belt fits around the drive shaft and the brush roll. The brush roll is spun when the machine is on and the handle is in the unlocked position. This is a cogged belt, which is designed to fit into notches on the brush roll in order to efficiently transfer power to it. One belt is included per package.
