1. Removed the outer nut from the trimmer line head 2. Loosened the inner nut and removed the old head and reinstalled the new head. 3. Inserted a new trimmer line and started the trimmer and used it. Removal and installation of the the two nuts requires metric sockets to loosen and tighten.
