This grass shield is an OEM replacement part provided by the manufacturer. It is compatible with various models of Homelite and Toro trimmers. This shield protects the housing and eyelet (part 099068001005). It should be replaced if it is broken or damaged. It is recommended to use a pair of pliers for installation. This part is made of plastic and sold individually.
I replaced all the parts at the end of my trimmer with interchangeable parts from Ryobi. I simply removed the old parts and installed the new parts one piece at a time and WA ..LA!! The parts fit perfectly and I am a happy yard worker once again! The parts were replaced in little as 5 minutes with one pair of pliers! Easy!
Took off the string feeder and housing. Put on grass shield. Put on grass deflector and reinstalled string feeder and housing. Exact perfect replacement parts.
