Mainshaft for T242 shindaiwa trimmer.
It's the correct part but it was shipped in a flimsy box and when it arrived the shaft was bent because of the way it was packed and the mail people don't care how they handle their boxes. I need the part immediately so I bent it back to place as best as possible. After a week I noticed it starting to blow my bearings at the trimmer head. So, please ship these shafts in a nice sturdy tube so it doesn't happen again.

Just take the head off by removing one allen screw slide it off, pull out old main shaft, slide the new one in and put the head back on put allen screw in and tighten it and you are ready to go

Our weed trimmer\'s head stopped spinning and the was a metallic sound when I gave gas to the engine.
Unloosed the bolts, removed the head, slid out the old shaft and then slide in the new one. Applied some grease, put the head back on and started it up. The head spins properly now and the weed trimmer works great! Very easy fix... which doesn\'t happen often for me. Very happy.
