Loosen two screws on throttle lever assy, loosen two screws on power head-to-trimmer tube clamp. Twist and slide power head off tube. Coated new grip inside with silicone spray and slide onto tube. Slide power head onto shaft and engage drive shaft, retighten clamp screws. Install new cable and spring. NOTE: found it best to route new cab
... Read morele and kill wires thru new grip channel before sliding new grip onto shaft! Also clean and lube anything that needs attention during tear-down always makes reassembly much easier.

Plastic throttle body broke after 23 years service.
I removed the broken plastic throttle body. I also wanted to replaced worn throttle cable. I replaced the cable and installed the new throttle body and switch. I also wanted to replace the rubber handlebar plug which has been missing for several years.
My 23 year old Shindawia is now back in service and operates like new.
