This is a replacement part sourced directly from the manufacturer for Shindaiwa hedge trimmers. When the flywheel spins, it sends the electric current through the ignition module then to the spark plug to bring power to the trimmer. This part is made of metal and is sold individually. The tools needed to complete this repair are a screwdriver, a pair of needle nose pliers, and a rubber mallet to remove the old flywheel.
