This is an authentic Shindaiwa replacement part, sourced from the original manufacturer for use with trimmers. Piston rings are used to form a barrier between the combustion chamber and the crankcase. Worn out piston rings can break the seal and cause a loss of compression that can prevent the engine from running. This piston ring is available as an individual replacement part.
