This was packaged with a drive shaft for the same weedeater. The shaft was bent when i received the package. Perhaps you could ship shafts in a tube to prevent this from happening. I straightened the shaft as best i could but has a vibration now.

Unbolted the old shroud and bolted the new one on in its place. Not exactly the the same shroud as OEM equipment but fits and will be serviceable. Looks heaver and more substantial than old shroud.

Trimmer Cutter on Debris Shield broke and Shield was cracked
Used my hex keys to remove the debris shield, secured the cutter blade on the new debris shield and then reattached the debris with new cutter blade to my trimmer.
I had trouble removing the old shield because the allen bolt that attached the shield to the trimmer was stripped and bent. Fortunately there was a nut on the other end of the allen bolt and thanks to a friend who advised me to always take off the nut first (if there is one). This was a learning experience for me! ... Read moreto gradually unscrew the bolt with a pair of vise grips otherwise it would have taken much less time. Also I found an extra allen bolt to take the place of the bent one. The shield was very easy to install once the old parts were cleaned. It took less than 5 minutes to install the shield but taking off the old shield and cleaning the old parts that I reused took about an hour.
