Lower Flexible Drive Shaft 791-181570

1 - Removed the lower gear head on trimmer (3 screws);
2 - slide old broken drive shaft out;
3 - slide in new drive shaft;
4 - reinstall lower gear head, ensuring square end of drive shaft slips into female gear head slot;
5 - reinstall 3 gear head screws, using the center smaller screw as a \"locator screw\".

Disassembled head and applied new grease and put the shaft in and reassembled.

1. Disassembled edger attachment and determined the ring and pinion, ( cutter head) was okay and shaft was broken. Removed both ends of shaft.
2.Thoroughly cleaned the cutter head.
3. When the replacement shaft came a coating of grease was placed on the drive shaft to reduce friction. Runs great as always.
