This fuel cap is an authentic replacement part supplied by the manufacturer. It is compatible with multiple models of Southland and Powermate lawn machinery. The purpose of this part is to prevent corrosion, protect the fuel supply, pressurize the gas tank, and seal gas tank fumes. The fuel cap should be replaced if it is cracked, does not click into place, or will not tighten. It is made out of plastic and requires no tools to replace.
