This trimmer head is sourced from the original equipment manufacturer as a replacement part for string trimmers. The head has a diameter of 4 inches, and it is responsible for feeding, cutting, and holding the cutting line. It consists of the housing, spool, bump knob, and eyelets that fit onto the gearbox assembly of the equipment. The trimmer head will need to be replaced if the trimmer line fails to advance when bumped or continues to feed when not bumped, if there is excessive and unusual noise and vibration, or if it is visibly damaged. Ensure the equipment is off before replacing the head. Lock the trimmer shaft to prevent it from moving. Remove any fasteners that hold the trimmer head and twist it off. Attach the new trimmer head and secure it with the appropriate fasteners.
