Removed half of throttle handle using screw driver only . Removed old shaft replaced with new shaft only fits one way , only one way for locking screw to fit replaced screws and unit worked like a champ. Very simple
Carefully, removed the upper section of shaft and then install new section in its place. This requires removal of throttle lever and kill switch. Removal of these components requires much care. I have Parkinson\'s and I shake like a leaf in the wind. This adds to the difficulty in making repairs.

1.Took apart the trigger assembly, leaving the trigger, spring, stop wire, and throttle cable intact.
2. loosened the shaft from main body.
3. pull old shaft out through the trigger assembly.
4. pushed the new shaft in aligning the notch, in the shaft, with the main body.
