This is an authentic replacement part manufactured for use with Poulan trimmers and brushcutters. This metal washer is used with the weed trimming blade attachment and is used to secure the blade to the gearbox and disperse the load put on the blade by the flange nut. The washer is sold as an individual replacement part, please see model diagram for associative parts.

The tool I repaired was a Poulan Pro weed eater with different attachments, this one being a brush cutting blade, which Poulan does not offer this particular type of blade. (blade with chain saw links). Dust cup fit on a round shaft with 2 flat sides, only way to tighten was using a flat head screwdriver to fit between teeth on dust cup t o stop rotation. I did have to fashion a flat washer to fit inside the brush cutting blade for a tight fit. Inside diameter had to be specific to shaft and outside diameter had to fit hole in brush cutting blade. The 3 parts I ordered were brand specific and were a perfect fit, thank you!
