This is genuine OEM replacement part used on Poulan trimmers. The cover works together with the spool line assembly to secure the line. With normal use, these covers can break or crack and will require a replacement. To remove the old cover, press in the tabs and the cover should pull right out. It is made out of plastic and it is sold individually.

Poulan Pro PP325 Cap-fixed Line
Purchased my weedeater, November 2015 and now it’s September 2025 and my cap that holds the trim line in place when I feed add new trimmer line finely bit the dust. Pushed in the two tabs in to remove the old cap and snapped the new cap into place and it fit just like it belonged there.
