Spool and bump head had to be replaced

Unscrew the worn bump knob from the trimmer, the pull out the spool. Place the new spool in the spool housing and let some cutting line out of the spool housing. Screw on the the bump knob, and you\'re done.

Unscrew the old bump assembly, remove the old reel. Install the new reel, but let some cutting line thru the holes in the upper housing. Then screw on the new bump assembly. Then clip the new shoulder strap on.
