This is a genuine Makita cord cutter assembly for a string trimmer. If too much line extends out of the head, the blade will trim the line as the head rotates. The cutter is located on the guard of the string trimmer. It is held in place by a tapping screw, which will need to be removed to replace the part. This cord cutter assembly is sold separately.
