This is a genuine part that is supplied by the original manufacturer for use with Powermate trimmers. When pulled, the starter rope engages starter spring causing the engine turn fast enough for the ignition module to generate a spark to ignite the fuel in the cylinder. This part is made of nylon rope and is sold individually. To install the rope you will need a screwdriver and socket wrench to aid you.
