I began by removing the two bolts that attach the power head to the shaft
I removed the power head and sat it on my work bench
I then removed the throttle cable and removed the screws holding on the front cover to gain access to the clutch
I placed a screwdriver between the cooling fan and the casing and removed the clu tch by turning it to the left using a pair of vise grips
I replaced the new clutch by following the steps in reverse to remove it
I slid the head back onto the shaft and tightened the bolts aligning the head on the shaft
I started the trimmer and it worked fine
