This an OEM replacement part designed for use with Echo Trimmers/Brushcutters. This is the base that connects to the carburetor. It is made out of plastic and it is sold individually. Please note the cover and filter are both sold separately. To replace this item you would need a Wrench. • Remove the air cleaner cover and the element • Remove the bolts that secure the case • Separate the carburetor gasket • Secure the new case with the gasket using the bolts • Place the element and secure it with the cover

... Read moreer to remove throttle cable. Slowly remove carburetor. Carefully, take off gasket on the one side. Set aside. I used a putty knife, but a screwdriver will do, Get new carb. Line screw holes of air cleaner/ choke switch case up with carb., push in long screws all the way through, put gasket on the back of carb. while threading it through both screws. Before attaching carb. to trimmer, attach throttle cable on top of new carb. and tighten. Then, tighten carb. and air cleaner/choke switch case to trimmer. Attach both fuel lines. Screw outer cover on. DUN!

Broken choke new blade installed and serviced gear box
Opened the gear case. Put the new blades in while greasing different parts in housing. The bolts and spacers inserted and oiled with wd 40 oiled blades. Put the shield on and tightened the nuts. Put the new spark plug and the new air filter in. Started it, ran 5 minutes. The oiled again and put away.
1. Removed air filter cover
2. Removed 2 torx head screws holding air cleaner housing and carburetor inplace.
3. Exchanged air cleaner housing and reinstalled 2 torx head screws.
4. Replaced air filter and air filter cover

Choke lever was broken off / spool did not feed line
Changed out air cleaner case which houses the choke lever by removing a couple of torx bolts, replaced with new one. Changed out spool with new one.
Good to go.
