Removed 2 screws and opened trimmer trigger housing. Removed trigger lockout part and small spring. Placed spring on new part, and replaced. Snapped housing together and tightened 2 screws on housing. Repair complete and simple.
Simple fix by removing the throttle cable from the motor and removing the motor from the shaft, by loosening the screw at the clamp and sliding the motor away from the shaft. Then working the grip off the shaft, then you can loosen the handle where you can work the trigger lever out and replacing it with the new part, just watch for your

1. Took apart the handle trigger assembly.
2. Disconnected cables running from handle to engine.
2. Removed all broken parts
3. Test fit new parts
4. Assembled handle and trigger assembly
5. Connected cables
6. Tested unit
Loosen the clamp to trigger-on/off switch assembly and slid towards motor. Then loosen clamp on motor to remove shaft from motor. Removed trigger-on/off switch assembly off shaft.Took the trigger,trigger lock-out lever,on/off switch assembly apart. Replaced trigger lock-out lever. Them in reverse order put trimmer back together Runs great

Removed the hand grip screws and separated the halves slightly without taking it completely apart and paying attention to the spring connected to the trigger lock removed the old one and replaced with the new aligned it put both halves back together made sure it operated smoothly and then replaced the screws andchecked again for smoothnes
