This item has been sourced from the original manufacturer and is intended to be used with trimmers, blowers, and edgers from Echo. The plastic fuel pipe fits into the fuel tank grommet and is used to allow fuel to return to the tank from the carburetor. The fuel pipe is sold as an individual replacement part.
It all started with the purge bulb failure on the bottom of the carburetor. I replaced that first and couldn\'t draw any fuel into the bulb. I then realized that the rubber fuel line and grommet and pretty much dissolved. I disconnected the two lines connected to the carburetor. loosened the screws holding the handle and removed the fuel
... Read moretank from the Shred n Vac. I then removed all the fuel lines, filter and vent from the fuel tank and replaced all of the components. I then proceeded to reinstall the tank with the two screws tighten the handle and hook up the fuel lines to the carburetor. I replaced the spark plug and air filter element, purged some fuel to the carb and within two pulls hand it running like a charm. One note I would like to make is that I utilized a dab of grease to hold the two back washers for the fuel tank to the tank to ease re-installation of the fuel tank.
1. Took all the lines out of the gas tank
2. Placed all the lines beside all my new parts and used it as my guide
3. Once I got all the pieces together I pushed the grommet back into the tank (not an easy thing to do)
4. I then took the old primer out and installed the new one, making sure I didn\'t get any dirt in the

5. I replaced the old air filter with the new one and again you have to make sure you don\'t get any dirt in the area.
6. I took the new spark plug and compared the gap to the old one making sure it was the same
7. I then turned the trimmer over and replaced the screw that had been lost
8. I then greased everything and started my trimmer
