2. Slid new shaft into tube
3. Fitted it in the splines

1. remove the extension holder
2. remove the old driveshaft.
2. install the new driveshaft.
3. re-install the extension holder.

Broken drive shaft

This was the easiest repair l ever made on my weed eater I simply remove the broken drive shaft with a pair of needle nose pliers and replace it with the new one by pressing it in the shaft housing.
