It is a genuine manufacturer-sourced replacement part which is designed for use with Shindaiwa and Echo string trimmers. The bumper head knob is the part of the trimmer that when struck on the ground, advances the trimmer line in the spool. Because of the regular abuse during use this part will eventually require replacement to maintain a working unit. It is a durable plastic knob which is sold individually.
