Product Description

?

This Genuine OEM carburetor is designed for use with a variety of Echo gas-powered tools, ensuring optimal fuel and air mixture for reliable engine performance. Sold individually, this essential component is responsible for blending air and fuel before the mixture enters the engine. A properly functioning carburetor is critical for smooth starts and efficient operation. If your engine fails to start despite having fresh fuel, the carburetor may be the issue. A simple test involves removing the air filter and adding a teaspoon of fuel directly into the carburetor. If the engine starts briefly and then stalls, it’s likely time to replace the carburetor. Built to meet original equipment standards, this replacement part helps restore performance and extend the life of your equipment.

Basically, the outer cover can be taken off by unscrewing orange knob on the outside. Remove air cleaner/ choke switch case (I replaced this-just unscrew metal piece from old one and put on new one-super easy to do.) Once removed, 2 long screws are loosened and removed. Pull both fuel lines from carburetor and loosen screw on top in ord er to remove throttle cable. Slowly remove carburetor. Carefully, take off gasket on the one side. Set aside. I used a putty knife, but a screwdriver will do, Get new carb. Line screw holes of air cleaner/ choke switch case up with carb., push in long screws all the way through, put gasket on the back of carb. while threading it through both screws. Before attaching carb. to trimmer, attach throttle cable on top of new carb. and tighten. Then, tighten carb. and air cleaner/choke switch case to trimmer. Attach both fuel lines. Screw outer cover on. DUN!
