Replacement part screwed on with no adapters.
Stabilizing the shaft would be tricky without the spanner.

1) Put screwdriver in slot, to prevent head from spinning.
2) Rotated head counter clockwise, to remove damaged head.
3) The replacement part was a perfect match and I didn\'t have to change anything.
4) Screwed new head back on clockwise, tightened and repair was complete.
